California based rock band Tripdavon released their self titled debut album in 2004 and followed up with "The enlightened operative" in 2006 which is produced by Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool) and Jim Wood. Their 3rd album "Sketches from silence" came out in 2009 and they are currently working on the 4th album. We´re talking post grunge/rock here in the same vein as Smile Empty Soul, 12 Stones and The Trews. This is a competent band that has supported great acts like Whitesnake, Fuel and Dishwalla. Perhaps, they sound a bit average but they´re great performers where songs like "Never let you go" and "Rusted teeth" would do justice on an album by 12 Stones for example. "Nothing at all" has a nice groove and it reminds a bit of Incubus, anyhow it´s enough with one album from this band. I don´t need all 3.
