2,5 out of 5

For the first time, Swedish sleaze rock band Crashdiet stick with the same singer for two albums in a row. Frontman Simon Cruz debuted on the 2010 album "Generation wild" which was a solid record that took ´em out on tour to support Motley Crue and Ozzy. The band aren´t taking any chances and deliver 13 songs in the same vein as the previous albums, I just don´t think the hooks are there. The majority of the songs feel average and some riffs are built on cliche´s, sure there are some great moments like the melodic "California" and the riff rocker "Circus" but the single "Cocaine cowboys" and the opener "Change the world" which are supposed to set the standard of the album, only feels ok. The drumproduction is lousy and songs like "Lickin´ dog" and "Damaged kid" are nothing but b-sides. Nah, Crashdiet can do better.
